For Students

We understand that it can be difficult to find challenging, PAID positions in public service.  We also know many public service organizations want to hire young, talented employees like you.  We aim to bridge this gap.

The Elrod Fellowship invites talented W&L graduates (undergraduate and law) to work for one or two years in Baltimore or Washington DC with exciting and innovative non-profits and government agencies that are working to contribute to important societal issues (such as healthcare, legal aid, economic development, the environment, and education.)  We promise substantive paid jobs with public service organizations that are seeking systemic solutions to critical social problems. (We define systemic solutions as those that address the causes, not the symptoms, of the problems.)  Your work will contribute directly to the organization's mission and to systemic social change!
