Volunteer
Opportunities
Alumni are central to the success of this
program. For participants to reap all possible benefits, alumni must have
ownership of this program in their cities. Alumni know their cities and
communities intimately, and will be better able to manage the program in
their areas. Alumni leadership will also promote a stronger connection to
current students, the University and the host agencies. The support staff
at Washington and Lee will offer a support network only, offering training,
structure, format, and assistance when needed. The program itself, however,
will not function without passionate and engaged regional alumni. Alumni
may participate on several levels, and younger and older alumni will perform
different roles according to their experience and time available
